Window Works is a new digital media installation that utilises the display area of a shop window as an interactive interface. Visitors touch and interact with the window and images both still and moving are created, manipulated and projected onto the screen. The visuals will fill the window display area and are completely controlled by the user’s touch and movement.

The project will take place in Coventry City Centre on Saturday 18th December 2010 to coincide with the Coventry Arts and Crafts fair on the same day.

The project is taking place over two research and development labs. The long term aim is to create a networked, internet linked and data shared project over several UK sites, for which we will be seeking further funding. This funding stream gives us the opportunity to develop the technology, the visual and creative techniques and to test audience response over a research and development phase.

The project has been supported by the Coventry City Council Small Arts Grants scheme.
