Are you 18 and over, unemployed (6 months+) and looking for inspiration and new directions?
Would you like to learn new creative skills using digital tools?
Are you interested in finding the stories that your digital behaviour can tell about you?

Data Miners is a free project run by local arts organisation Ludic Rooms, for unemployed people to explore ways in which they can gain more control over data and make something creative. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency, and supported by the Local Enterprise Partnership.

Ludic Rooms is an arts and technology company and aims to give people the creative tools to explore how technology shapes their lives.

Data Miners project takes place in 18 sessions from 7 September- 9 November 2020. Due to COVID-19 it is planned as a blended course; most of it will take place online. Ludic Rooms will be providing equipment on loan to support this, where required.

The project will be a mixture of practical activities and challenges, as well as some background information exploring data and privacy. You will also have time to think about your next career steps and get help finding and applying for jobs and education and training courses.
