About Ludic Rooms:
Ludic Rooms are an established arts and technology organisation based in Coventry. We are a constituted not-for-profit company with social aims. We believe in empowering communities to become co-creators of work, in collaboration across disciplines and demystifying the use of technologies as creative material. We work in real-world settings, supported by digital media to allow artists, workshop participants, and audiences a space to make a difference in the world around them.
Over the last ten years, Ludic Rooms have developed a UK-wide reputation for delivering high-quality creative technology projects that have at their heart a participatory approach. We transform spaces through technology and play.
Our work has been featured in the Huffington Post, Wired magazine and nationally on BBC Breakfast as well as regular coverage in regional press and radio. In 2018 Ludic Rooms won the West Midlands Tech Award for Innovation in Arts and Culture for our Open Citizens project.
Who We Are Looking For:
Ludic Rooms are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation and welcome applications from all individuals who are passionate about our mission and would like to support Ludic Rooms through their experience, expertise, and networks.
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals with experience of working in the arts, cultural and technology sectors and those who are interested in community or participatory arts.
We are also looking to appoint directors with experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors in areas such as (but not limited to) business development, marketing, capital project development, enterprise, HR, and those with professional legal or financial expertise.
Potential Directors must be willing to attend Board meetings 4 times a year. We also expect Board Members to be willing to engage with the management team on an adhoc basis outside of these meetings should their area of expertise be needed to support the activities and development of the organisation. The role of Director is a voluntary position but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed with prior agreement.
